RELIABLE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS

Contact Patch was created to solve a clear problem: many existing In Case of Emergency (ICE) solutions fail when conditions are at their most demanding.

Founded in Plymouth, UK in 2017 by Chris Wood, Contact Patch was developed after recognising that most emergency information systems relied heavily on technology, connectivity, or single-use formats. In real-world situations - remote locations, harsh weather, or high-impact environments - those approaches often fall short.

Using a background in design and usability, Chris set out to create an Incase of Emergency solution that would always work, regardless of where or how it was used.

DESIGNED FOR REAL ENVIRONMENTS

Contact Patch is used by people who move through environments where help isn’t instant and mistakes have consequences.

It has been tested in the harsh winters of the Scottish mountains, the mud and impact of Devon and Cornwall green lanes, and the low-visibility, high-pressure conditions of the Atlantic Ocean. These environments shaped a system that prioritises visibility, durability, and immediate access to critical information.

A SMARTER APPROACH TO EMERGENCY INFORMATION

Where many In Case of Emergency solutions rely on devices that can fail, Contact Patch keeps things simple and dependable.

TECHNOLOGY-FREE

No batteries, no signal, no setup

INSURANCE-READY

Includes space for insurance details, essential for overseas travel

REUSABLE

Update information without replacing the product

ALWAYS ATTACHED

Fixed to clothing or equipment so it’s never forgotten

IMMEDIATELY VISIBLE

Reduces handling and speeds up access to vital details

This approach ensures emergency responders and bystanders can act quickly, with the information that matters.
